    Very cool!!
That would be a fun little runner with a 496 or a 502.
    What's the plan for power?

As far as I know, the boat will not be offered with an IO in the near future. The original mold was an outboard and all of the ones Bobby is assisting on are using the original mold I believe.

One of the big Merc outboards should make it into a little screamer...

Didn't Bobby once say he didn't like moving the deck forward to make room for the IO so he had never done an IO Scout?

    Nice, Frank's Geronimo36 on here.

Do you know if that's a Bobby original that way? I'm pretty sure I can find the quote from Bobby saying he didn't like the looks of the deck with the IO so he never let them build one. But, I may be thinking of something else.

The 21' Scout deck mold I am using was designed for an O/B and I really don't want to move away from the "Classic Saccenti" styling that gives the boat it's character and mystique. We do have plans on the drawing board for a center console fishing version of the Scout.

Paul , to tell you the truth i really would like to find an old I/O version of the Scout ( project boat ) or maybe do a conversion on a O/B .

Based on the IO sketch versus the outboard sketch, the longer deck does look more "offshore".

I haven't chatted with Phil in awhile. Has the boat been rated yet for maximum HP on the outboard?

No, but the structure would take the weight, I myself would want the lighter weight two stroke for when it catches air. Really how fast do you want it to go ?

Phil is overseas fighting bad guys, hope to see him home safe soon ! I think it was the end of this week.
