Looks just like my first 377 which was a 1979 w/staggered 454s. As neat as it is, that price will be hard to get; lotta value there though.

As a kid, Scarab/Wellcraft was my introduction to offshore performance boats. We had a local dealer (Brenner Marine) that usually had a scarab or Nova in stock. I climbed all over them while Dad was dropping off his boat for service.
I loved the ~84 Kaama Scarab.
    It had factory race hatches.
My Dad told me it was a useless boat because it wasn't "functional" without a sunpad...

There were a few big Scarabs that roamed the local waters.
I recall one named "Thumper" (big letters down the hullsides).
Last I saw it, it was in the boat graveyard.

I almost bought the 34' Scarab that Glassdave has now, but timing wasn't right.

    I like that 377!

I believe the "thumper" you mentioned is being resurrected. I saw it out at woodtick a couple times and saw it running strong at the color cruise. Needs some definite restoration work but its running again.

    Cool!!

That boat is one of the main reasons I took interest in offshore boats.
