    In your opinion, what happens with the sonic wave on water at the sound barrier speed? I know it took a long time to break it on land, and they figured it may never happen there. On water is the disturbance too great for a boat to manage the unstable surface?

    Controlling pitch and ride height would be very tricky, but if the wave could be centered under the boat's c.g. it might be possible for the boat to ride it like a surfboard.
