It's funny that you can post a single out of context photo of an Apache, and somebody can give you the details on the boat.

One of the many reasons I just dropped another $xx,000 in mine. It was surveyed last May 10 minutes after a violent thunderstorm in 100% humidity as we dried the boat off with our shirts to take moisture readings. Geez... do you suppose it read "wet?" Even the new, verified solid transom came back "wet." But we did find a delaminating stringer next to the tank, which killed the sale. Although the surveyor said it was not worth replacing because it was never going to come apart.
So, being a committed classic offshore boat owner... since last fall, I/we:
    Removed cockpit
    removed floor
    removed tank
    removed power
    replaced four stringers
    replaced bulkhead
    installed/aligned new engine brackets
    bilge paint touch up
    reinstalled tank
installed new solid (No hatches) floor, completely glassed
replaced engine wiring harnesses (re-used the old ones in first restoration)
    replaced drive trim cables
replaced all rubber on engines: hoses, belts, anything rubber
    replaced all sending units
    BBlade prop service

    Next up:
    New carpet install
    cockpit reinstall
    intercom reinstall
    replace bad kill switch
    adjust trim indicators
replace O rings, reinstall and pressure test lowers
    fill drives
    install props

I couldn't be more grateful to the guy who walked away from the deal. I want to have a sign placed in his front yard that says "Hero lives here."

Because not only do I still have my azz-kicking boat a year later, it's better than ever. Sometimes things don't work out for a reason.

If we kept the PQ there were things I wanted to upgrade. It was good timing, she was still a great boat. We spend so much time on the water just crawling along, the two smaller boats are working out well. Once the boys moved out I realized we didn’t overnight much on the big girl. High 60’s this weekend, hope to be on the water.

I almost never slept on my boats, ever. Naps maybe. Almost never overnight in a douchebag-filled marina.

Best of both worlds for me would be my current boat for the lake and something small or a toon that I could launch into a river a couple miles away. I have to go either fifteen or twenty five miles to launch the Apache, minimum. No ramps big enough at my point in the river. A lot of islands could be explored and friends who live on the river could be visited in something small with a single eggbeater.

The 50HP RIB has been a blast. I was surprised on how well it takes the waves. It will be nice to dump in the Hydra Sport with the correct prop this year. I was shocked on how much nicer it takes the waves with the correct prop. Pushing it thru the water and not picking it up was nasty, when you hit a wave it sounded like you were in a plywood boat. Last year Boyne Thunder I really missed the PQ. Won't be a problem this summer.

More rain in the forecast but warmer temps
Maybe warm rain will help raise lake temp

Looked like a nice evening was coming. Out of no where fog rolled in around 3:30 and dropped the temp 20 degrees. I’m getting a Mother Nature Voodoo doll and kicking her azz!

We actually had a nice day yesterday. Stained the front porch, got out on the lake. Sadly lost my morn in Horton Bay. The ice took it away.
