Will do. We were there yesterday but those fries with the “magic dust” are like crack. Can’t get enough of them. What day is good for you?

This Memorial Day weekend, I remember SFC Paul Smith.

    https://www.veteransunited.com/netwo...-a-50-caliber/

Our nation is poorer for the loss of this warrior. But free because of the lot of them.

The Medal of Honor was invented for guys like SFC Smith.

ID:	85344 My Uncle has a big write up in the local paper. I only listen to him tell his story once. He lost most of his platoon in a fight. He told his story to a Petoskey classroom. His wife is giving him a hug.

Nope. Random choice. Feels like I know him now though. That's kind of the point of the exercise.

My dad spent part of the Korean War in Korea. 25th Infantry. The other part he spent at Tripler Army Hospital in Hawaii. Also 85. Also can't hear.

My Father assembled Bell helicopters in the Korean War. He first went to airplane school, then sent him to Texas for the helicopters. They would ship them in, and assemble them in Korea. He flew a lot of helicopters, but never went anywhere. He had to run them and test them. Said he just lifted them up checked them and sent them on their way. Never stuck with aircraft, he went back to cars when he came back. It would be cool to be a helicopter dealer! Lol

Dinghy is in the truck, pointing the Ranger south and heading to Torch River. Then hit the sand bar.

ID:	85348 Had a great day at Torch. This is a picture of my Father bottom right. Cousin posted this on FB. My Uncle Dee(middle) passed and his funeral is Tuesday. Top left is my Grandpa. He was part of the Big red one in WWI. He was shot in a battle. Lost one lung and several ribs. We have a western union letter stating he was dead. Six weeks later they sent a new letter to his parents telling them he was alive found in a French hospital. He lived into his mid 70’s and fathered 4 children.
