May go look at a boat for a buddy. If I help him get it ship shape then I'll have something to use this summer.

Sold my go-kart yesterday, little 6.5 hp that I could get 31 mph out of. I hadn't even pulled the governor yet.
Went down to the garage to get it together (gather up the spare tires/parts) that I have no use for.
I notice a little puddle of water on the floor right next to the new buggy.
    About 4-5" diameter.
    That's strange.
I look up, and my ceiling has what looks like a huge BOOB hanging down!!!!
I'm talking 16" diameter, and hanging down 12-14"!!!
    PHUCK!!!
The wife came downstairs and moved the buggy outside, then pierced the "boob" with a pipe.
    Phuckin' water everywhere!
She starts poking all the wet drywall, and tearing it out.
Well, the leak is the drain line from the upstairs chitter.
Now, I have wet insulation and drywall all over my garage.

    Culprit = wax ring.

Wife runs to the hdw for 2 wax rings, and a new set of closet bolts.
Between the two of us, we yank the stool, replace wax rings, and re-set.
    Less than $10.
But, now I've got a huge hole in the ceiling, everything wet, and a huge mess in the garage...

Wax rings are the nastiest material ever made......I'm remodeling a bath now....and while tiling I stuck my foot dead center of the wax ring and within 3 minutes it was on every surface of the house.....

Short day today...Laundry ....or the Beach ??????

    Agreed.
    They are a mess!
The toilet was caulked to the floor with clear silicone.
The silicone seal was better than the wax, so the water didn't show in the bathroom until it made a boob in the garage ceiling.
    What a phuckin mess...

    Yes it does.
But at least it didn't blow out on the new buggy.
Hopefully I can get the mess cleaned up tomorrow.
Let it dry out, and start patching next weekend...

Everybody is sick down here, hospital sick...I wash my hands about ten times a day when greeting people, or handling money.
Good day today, poured about 16 yards of concrete, then finished a block job in Cudjoe. Aout $10K right there, keep in mind we pay about $300 a yard with the pump.

If you have a tile floor I would suggest grouting and sealing the terlet to the floor instead of caulk.
