In Canada, and in the U.K. they sell by donation poppy pins for Remembrance Day. Here the official distributor of the pins is the Royal Canadian Legion and when I was a teenager you had to be former military or RCMP to be a member. Therefore most of the volunteers selling and making the pins where WWII veterans. Us teens actually bought the pins and proudly wore them. I still do as an adult, even though to increase membership the legion now lets anyone join and most of the WWII vets are gone. The poppy pins once made by disabled veterans are now made in China. But I still buy and wear one because I remember the old days when it was a WWII vet involved. I'm still surprised they don't have poppy pins in the states. info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remembrance_poppy#Canada

I didn't realize my parents had money until in about grade 7 a friend came shopping and made a comment after seeing how much my Mom just spent.

I have a red dog and a black dog.
Far from racist
Actually, I don't care about anyone's race. Beaners, Canucks, anyone, I don't care.

As a general rule, I just hate people.
I'm perfectly comfortable living up here on the mountain with my wife and my dogs.
The cat is still questionable.
I prefer to not leave the house.
