02-25-2009 01:29 PMBeen away for a while , came back on line and noticed things just weren't the same over there. (actually was reason I was gone so long in the first place.) Finally sniffed my way over here. I guess I have alot of catching up to do.

Dwight Perry, Seattle Times:
“Bank of America extended its sponsorship with the New York Yankees, and economists immediately hailed it as the ultimate win-win. The team gets much-needed signage for its new ballpark, and the bank gets to borrow money whenever it needs it.”Warning: There will be no warning shots.

Yankees are off to a roaring $200mm start; and those Sox wow...what money can buy these days...bad baseball and a clueless president.

You know, not that I follow the Yankees or anything, but as a casual observer I'd say the boys from the bronx are off to a rocky start...loose the home opener in the new palace that George built (talk about the curse of the Babe here it comes...I mean you abandoned the place that Ruth built) and today...they give up 14 runs in 1 inning and loose 22-4. OH MY...
Bet those fans (suckers) with the $2,500 seats are feeling pretty good about their team right about now.

22-4....
.
.
.....I guess they were lucky they were playing the team with, currently, the worst record in the American league.
It might have been worse

05-05-2009 07:31 AMI just don't get it. All that money does not buy you a team? Say it aint so!!! George must be about ready to have heart failure!! What you need to do is spend another couple hundred million on pitchers that performed in the past but not in the future.
