not to mention how many asses the Yanks put in seats across the country. They average a 20,000 person increase in attendance every stadium they play. At 7 bucks per beer and 5 bucks for a dog, I have a feeling the owners smile when the Yanks are on the schedule......

Plus they smile when they receive the check from the Yanks for the "equalization" money. It did make the league more even.

Some valid points but the Yanks aren't an island...they are a part of MLB...they couldn't exist without someone else to play. You seem to forget that if they put everyone else out of business they become extinct.

Like I started my rant, IMHO true revenue sharing and the same rules for the Al and NL would improve MLB. I don't fault the Yanks for their business model, but if you think the Yanks and Sox spending into oblivion to try and buy all the best players is good for the sport you've been drinking way to much pinstripe koolaid. Why do you think revenue sharing became part of the equation in the last CLB? Because the majority of the owners wanted it.

Regarding the Cards you're right...management has made some bad personel decisions...like when they picked up Tino Martinez.

I'd guess you'll be disappointed with the Musial, Brock, Gibson and Pujols jerseys...maybe I can get a Yanks rug to put around the toilet though; and a Red Sox mint for in the toilet.
