All right guys, it's that time of the season where everyone is getting deeply involved in boat projects for the winter. Post your projects! I have always thought that seeing everyone's projects and progress was one of the best parts to this forum. Not only is it a place to brag about your project, but it is great motivation to keep projects moving, when you see the progress that your buddy's are making. My project had been sitting for a long time, but thanks to fellow members on this site posting their projects and progress, it has re-inspired me to finish my boat. I think that admin has done a fine job of eliminating the keyboard bullies that like to antagonize and terrorize members and their posts, so we can all feel comfortable about showing or projects without all the criticizm. Let See 'Em!

Not sure what I'm doing boat project wise this winter. If anyone knows someone who will swap a raceboat for a 39 Scorpion with 540's, it might make a difference....

    Here's my to-do list:
    un-do Hurricane Sandy's handi-work.
    lotsa LOTSA scratches n' dings
    twerked side wind-shield
    effed up rubrail,
    its dirty!
I'm lucky though, the inside is bonedry, mine and 3 others were not washed off the lower rack,

well, I tied it down, with the anchor rope, almost everybody else tied theirs down too, i think the 14 foot tide surge broke thru most of the other not so flexible or stretchy methods and lines,....
really the worst of the scrapes is all over the top bow/starboard edge, she was gett ing jammed up against the next rack above

So the water was deep enough that the boat was floating high enough to hit the rack above?????

yes Rattie! i'm pretty sure that after it busted thru most of my 50 ft rope, (i did it likean X, with also horizontal cleatings @ the mid and rear points) a single diagonal rope from rear starboard to mid port allowed the top-bow to scraaaaaape mercilessly against the above rack, MIRACULOUSLY leaving the cockpit, cabin and engine compartment bone dry (2 new batteries and a real good bilge pump),..... ironically, my marina wants $10 per foot 280 to straighten it back out onto one rack, where we found it the next day across 2

Charge them for the repairs. They obviously didn't place it in the rack properly which resulted in all of the damage

Finish this along with a few other projects ( fiberglass boats ) in the works . Just a quick mention everything ( wood ) that you see here has been replaced or should i say new Transom boards . Hull sides , Cover boards , Aft deck , with most framing , and battens.

My house was built by the homeowner in 2006, and there are small trim type things that were never completed. I started hitting them hard when we moved in 1-1/2 yrs ago, but a med issue put my entire life on hold for a bit. I'm ready to start chipping away at projects again.

    I can understand.
If someone is being an azz hole on someone else's thread, and a mod doesn't step in to clean it up.
    That would pizz me off.

I look forward to seeing the winter projects from everyone.
If anyone cares, I'll post pics of the island bar I'm building, and the staircase I need to finish, and the closet and shelf and carpet that needs done.
The new back door that needs framed and the deck will wait until spring.
