I just heard that Sandy Jassby passed away. I have very few details, and it is one of those things that is so shocking and so few details you hope it's completely misreported, but they have been Charter members at Serious since day one.
Our sincerest condolences to Jeff, the children, and the rest of their family and friends. We are so sorry......

06-22-2012 02:54 PMUpdate:
Authorities confirm that a second person died Wednesday while swimming on the Outer Banks.
The National Park Service says Sandy Jassby, along with her husband and two family friends were swimming north of ramp 4 on Bodie Island.
The four were caught in the current around 4:15 p.m. The others were able to make it back and her husband pulled his wife in, but she had been underwater for too long, according to park spokeswoman Cyndy Holda.
They attempted CPR on the woman, but were unsuccessful. Holda says Jassby was pronounced dead at The Outer Banks Hospital.
The Park Service says the 46-year-old was from Diamondhead, Mississippi and friends say she and her husband had been in Washington earlier in the day to inspect progress on a boat they are having built.
