We were late on the start of heat 2...

Half way through heat 2. Pirate was running strong.






Pirate and Bucanneer on last front straight heat 2.



I thought we had a chance of running down Typhoon. The limiter was getting to be obnoxious though. They'd walk away in the straights, we'd close in the corners.....

This is the last lap, east end, corner. Trying to figure out a way to get Typhoon. Couldn't do it, but it sure was fun to try....

Race over, met our first two goals at least.

I cannot say enough about what they accomplished with the boat. Jim said he got about 3 hours sleep a night for the previous month, I believe him. That the boat was not only able to make the race, but that it finished two heats and actually had a chance to finish third is astonishing. I am extremely thankful they considered me as a driver, and actually allowed me to drive. With a little bigger prop, it would have been really interesting.....


Jim, Gene, Joe, and Kyle are one heck of a team to be on the water with. Stop and tell them Hi next time they are in your area.

We came out of the water 30lbs over minimum weight by the way. Perfect......

You have done a fantastic job of documenting Jim and his team's work!! and keepin a fire lit under all of our butt's, being an inspiration for all of us to make these races happen!!
