We were supposed to go this year for July 4...spoke with BZ about it. However, it would seem that Michelle and I will be taking a road trip out to Yellowstone instead at that time. ;( Maybe next year...

Been there more than a few times. Only arrested there once. They processed pretty quick, and a buddy was able to bail me within 1-1/2 hr.
    But, it's been 10 years.
There is a reason you don't see many pics from PIB...

You dock in the harbor, and are expected to "tie-off" 3-4 boats deep, so, people WILL be crossing your swim platform or sunpad to get to shore.

You can also dock out and anchor, and then take a water-taxi to shore - but, be warned they cut off service (at least they did) before bars close.

Yes, how big is this new cruiser again? Seems like trailering that unit on the turnpike wouldnt be alot of fun?

It's like Vegas. Everyone should do it at least once. It's a Zoo during events and summer weekends.
I'm not a fan as bouy said rafting off ect. I like Kellys or Middle Bass. Guess I'm getting old...

If you go thru the week or time it right there is a tiny state park w/docks for like 20 bucks a night first come. Very nice shown in first pic. Second pic is approaching the Boardwalk rest w/outside seating and docks.Click image for larger version.

6hrs for me Johhny boy, looks cool, seems like theres other places to visit.. Canada border right there can we hit some whore houses ??

So where do you spend the night if youre sleeping in the boat?

btw, my boat and trailer are 11-12K, I`d think a cruiser would be more by the time gas, fluids and all your $hit is in there.

Peele Island is like 9mi and Canadian.

All the Islands are cool and there are many places to stay. The weather can be a factor. It is a great area I hope to use more this summer. Middle bass St park just redid the whole marina/harbor and i havn't been back since they opened. They run a ferry across the bay to South bass/PIB. Sandusky Bay has some great marinas and use the islands at a destination.

If you want party, PIB was the place - at least 10 yrs ago.
I know Kelley's was just gaining popularity before I moved, but is very popular now.
I've done a long weekend at Cedar Point, and it was a great trip. Great marina, great accomodations, quick access to the park.
