Playing in the garage and decided to pull a spark plug just to check it out. I have 2006 6.2 MPI's. Funny thing is my 6.2 owners manual states that the plug should be a AC Delco 41-983 and what I found factory installed in the engine is a 41-932. I am going to follow-up with Mercury next week, but searching the internet I found the 41-932 is a hotter plug than the 41-983, and that the 41-932 is no longer available and has been replaced with a 41-993. Spark plug alphabet soup! I am wondering if my manual is just wrong. Either way, both plugs will 'fit' the 6.2, just don't know what heat range is ideal. What plugs are in your 6.2's??

BTW, the Fountain group is ahead of us in post count. We can't let that happen, can we?

No, the Beakers must stay behind, where they feel most comfortable.

Not yet,but taking a hard look at it. I hadn't figured in the price of patching the old holes, and cutiing into the inner liner kind of bugs me out too! No answer on the plug type yet.

OK, the verdict is in. The spark plugs that are in my motors are AC 41-993, and reportedly are perfect in color. This number cross references to an APP 605 Autolite, and a PTR5D10, NGK. Hope this helps.

This is what I suspected is the correct plug. I have 41-932's and those have been discontinued and replaced by the 41-993. My owners manual has a typo. What year are your engines? How many hours? Thanks again!

Motors are 07's, I'm not sure on the hours, probably not more than 50, if I'm lucky. Had a bad year trying to get my new lift set, and made it alot easier to jump on the pontoon, versus doing the whole ramp thing with the Formula.
