Sneak peek for 2012. This is a new deck/canopy over 2011 as well as a few hull mold mods.

Plan on being completed mid Feb. You may notice a slight resemblance above the sheer line here. I need to thank DW for all his help.

Well that Canopy looks nice and safe for a SVL. Some of the older Large Window ( w cracks ) designs make me a touch nervous. This thing is super exciting, I do personally think the Keel Area looks awful deep and steep deadrise, At mid 90's speeds I would think it's gonna be a touch loose in the back end. and if the front end is driving, oh Boy. None the less that is my own humble non marine design engineer opinion, and I still think it is about the most eciting thing I have heard of or seen in a while. Nice that there is those out there with the desire to test out something new in this class. Can't wait to see it finished. Jason

This is Doug Wright's design canopy, same as on his 38 and now being used on the 32 race boats. After the events in Key West last November I scrapped the original deck/canopy and started from scratch. I wanted to produce a boat that would be as safe as possible in the event of a rollover. Between the structure itself, internal bracing, surrounding pod and minimun 4 1/4 inch window flanges I believe this is the ticket.

On the bottom at the transom, progressive deadrise, 23.5 degrees being the deepest. Pad at 22 degrees. There's a few other things going on down there also that have worked really well on the first hull.

Boat is not sold yet, should be complete (unrigged) mid Feb. Most likely going to be racing with SBI. This is only because of the weight. It's going to come in close to 4700Lbs and I'm not a fan of adding 300+ lbs.

Thanks in advace for thinking of the new owners safty. Its hard to scrap a design after you put in countless hours. In the end you will sell more boats when the racers realize what you did. Good work!!!

Very sharp piece and I am liking that you took the initiative for safety after the recent past events. Keep us updated as the project comes along.

You're thinking the 4700 lbs is ready to run? Just add 50lbs and go racing????
