Actually they remind me of another manufacturer's graphics.

The 42 is a Fountain factory job....my wife and I took some ideas from a few different paint jobs we liked and sat down with the graphics guy at Fountain and came up with the scheme....its hard to tell from the video but it's really more of a candy apple color

Those are to aerate the props on take off from a standing start. They help getting on plane.

I've seen them on some cats- always wondered if they would work on a V and if so why they weren't used more often

    Newbie here!

I really like both boats and am glad to see that someone put big power in that 47! Very nice job Fountain and the designers as these boats have come a long way since 06! Even the paint jobs are sweet!

Bullhead, do you have some of your own pics we can look at? Thanks.

The 47 is my design and my paint job. The owner is Ed Rieskamp from Indianapolis.

I did a 42 for the Miami Boat Show for '08 for Scott Shogren and Wyatt Fountain. I believe that this 42 was a close take-off of my design and paint, but this boat was painted by the factory after their designer combined a few ideas at the owner's request.

That explains why you thought that they have a Sunsation feel, because they are my design directions and I esign and paint all of the Sunsations. I try to design away from my normal directions when I do Fountains, but they still have my flair.

Thanks for popping in and taking credit- well deserved credit that is!!

I hadn't said any thing but funny how this turned out (talking about the paint). That is one of the very 1st things I noticed in the video as well.

Good stuff Mitcher T and what IMHO (arguably besides Reggie) was holding Fountain back. $250K+, $500K+, $800K+ boats with Pep Boys graphics. Again- just my opinion.
