It is very interesting that this was the first time, since they changed to this playoff system, that the winner of the so-called championship game did not receive all of the first place votes in the final poll.

Congrats to FSU for their undefeated season and a share of the National Championship......

Damn, Notre Dame sure did not put up any kind of a fight.

Hopefully the next game is a game.

Wow, at least it was a bit exciting for a lopsided game.

It's interesting that the Ohio State players are using the Notre Dame score as a reason they belonged instead of Notre Dame.

The same Ohio State that lost to Perdue 49-20. The same Perdue that lost to Auburn 63-14...…

    Just sayin......

Clemson was ahead of Notre Dame 30-3 at the end of the third in their game. Now they are ahead of Alabama 44-16 at the end of the third. I guess Alabama would be ahead of Notre Dame by 2 at this point if they had played each other?

That other Ohio football team that Fund talks about!

Ohio Football Scoring The Longest QB Touchdown Run In History Is Absolutely Mind-Blowing

The Ohio offense found itself with 1st-and-10 from the 1-yard-line. Except the “1-yard-line” was really the 1-inch-line.

In an effort to get some breathing room away from his own end zone, first-year head coach Tim Albin dialed up a quarterback run. However, instead of going for a gain of a few yards, it went for all of them.

People keep asking me my opinion on alleged Michigan Sign Stealing, probably because I live in Michigan?

Anyway, if true as alledged, they should forfit every game they won over the past three seasons if it is proved that a Michigan spy was in attandance scouting that team they would be playing in the future.

Cheating is cheating, and they have made little league teams who won World Championship's forfeit all of their wins because of using older players than allowed. NASCAR takes away wins for cars with cheating parts after insoection. Offshore takes away wins if boats fail inspections. Tony Stewart lost Top Fuel wins because of illegal parts, Lance Armstrong lost 3 tours for cheating, etc.

So, if you are proven to have cheated, you should forfeit that game. So far, 11 of the 13 other schools in the Big 10 say they have documented video of a Michigan scout at games videoing the sidelines and the field at the same time before they played Michigan later in the year.

    That's my opinion.

Been seeing a LOT of pretty funny spoof videos and memes about it.
Sure sounds like "everyone" does pretty similar though too.

Some have called for the death penalty, but that won't happen. Too much money from MI football.

    Getting more intense.

"The coaches in the Big Ten are looking for wider punishments as Michigan has undergone quite the turnaround while going 33-3 overall and 22-1 in the conference in the three years with evidence of Stalions purchasing tickets to opponents' games to facilitate the scouting network in place.

By comparison, the program was 21-11 overall and 16-8 in the Big Ten the previous three years.

Thamel noted that Michigan could be disciplined for violating the Big Ten’s Sportsmanship Policy while the NCAA investigation continues.

"I mean, you're shooting fish in a barrel," one coach said in the survey. "If I was able to do what Michigan was doing, that would be the difference between big-time winning and losing. If you filmed all the signals from a game, you'd take that and put it into the film system and match up the play-by-play with what the opponent is running. And then, I mean, it's over. Having a steady film of the signals during a game would be mind-blowing."

Big Ten coaches clearly feel the Wolverines had an unfair on-field advantage during the past three years.

"People don't understand the seriousness of it," a source told Thamel. "How it truly impacted the game plan. To truly know if it's a run or a pass, people don't understand how much of an advantage that was for Michigan."

It seems like the sentiments expressed by Big Ten coaches on the video call are shared by many in the profession across the country.

In a survey of head coaches, coordinators, assistants, analysts and staffers from teams in all 10 FBS conferences, Bruce Feldman and Max Olson of The Athletic found 94 percent believed Michigan should be punished, 74 percent think the sign-stealing scandal is a contributing factor to the program's recent turnaround and 70 percent do not believe Harbaugh's insistence he was unaware of it.

I live much closer to Ann Arbor than Paul, so my opinion is much more informed. (forgot that first time. Because j/k)

If half of what Connor Stalion is accused of is true, this is a massive cheating operation.

The coach for Perdie was brutal about the cheating. Said it's not alleged, that it is proven with ticket receipts, videos of Michigan paid spys at games videoing, confessions of more than one of the paid spys, etc.

This quote from Bo is interesting......

The Big Ten outlined in stark terms in its letter to Michigan, the school did not refute that Stalions had orchestrated an elaborate, years-long scheme that spanned multiple states, Big Ten schools and flagrantly violated both NCAA rules and the spirit of sportsmanship.

Also of note as Harbaugh has asked for his day in court have been the words of legendary, late Michigan coach Bo Schembechler, for whom Harbaugh played:

“Every coach, every executive, every leader: They all know right from wrong," Schembechler said in his book, 'Bo's Lasting Lessons: The Legendary Coach Teaches the Timeless Lessons of Leadership'.

"Even those Enron guys. When someone uncovers a scandal in their company, I don't think they can say, 'I didn't know that was going on.' They're just saying they're too dumb to do their job! And if they really are too dumb, then why are they getting paid millions of dollars to do it?

    "They know what's going on.”

On Friday, about 24 hours before the undefeated Wolverines are set to face Maryland in College Park, Michigan announced it had dismissed linebackers coach Chris Partridge amid the NCAA’s ongoing investigation into an impermissible sign-stealing scheme allegedly run by former analyst Connor Stalions. A statement from the school indicated the firing was the result of new information from the NCAA related to the case.

Shortly after Michigan’s announcement, Yahoo Sports reported that among the new information the NCAA shared with Michigan this week was that Partridge allegedly attempted to destroy computer evidence of the sign-stealing scheme after news of it first leaked in mid-October. At this time, Yahoo reported, the NCAA is unsure whether Partridge knew about the sign-stealing scheme in advance. Yahoo also reported that a booster — referred to as “Uncle T” in the NCAA’s report — allegedly provided thousands of dollars to fund Stalions’s operation.
