She did good at halftime. I think it was a bunch of lies by the left again. They wanted everyone to believe Lady Gaga had no class. Like Madonna.......

    What a disgusting fourth quarter.

Now they will say how wonderful those cheaters are, when they should have been banned from postseason play for at least one year for every year they were caught cheating..........

I watched it. It was about as subtle as it could have been. She started out singing patriotic songs from the top of the arena, on the roof edge. The vocal was excellent and pre-recorded. You can't do a live mic in that situation. Then she dropped down to the stadium on a harness. All in all, if they wanted a no band, all dancers, chick on a harness act, they should have gotten Pink to do it. Would have been a better aerial act. She did nothing to either annoy me, or entertain me. All I could hear in my head when she did "Born this way" was "Express Yourself." All I all, I do prefer to hear Madonna style songs from Gaga than Madonna. Madonna can retire.
Having done concert sound for years, I understand why they get acts like this instead of bands in huge stadiums in the round like that.

Imagine the half time speech. "We've cheated too hard to lose this boys. How can we live with ourselves knowing we cheated for years and still couldn't beat the Atlanta Falcons? I for one don't want that on my conscience. We need to go out there and get something done. That means you Edelman."

But, Seattle, Lions, and Tennessee (in that order), are the three teams I watch when I get a chance.

    So tough to boycott today.

Sure wish Detroit had given the $130 million to a better quarterback.......

After watching the end of the Detroit game it makes me remember why I hardly ever watch the NFL anymore.

Tate was yanked/tackled before the ball ever got there and still made the catch. No flag cause they gave him the touchdown. Then they review and take the touchdown away. Of course they can't review for the penalty.

If he'd dropped the ball, or no touchdown had been signaled, I'm sure the flag would have been thrown.

Then the stupid 10 second runoff rule ends the game.

    Wow........

Nice to see Pittsburg lose to the lowly Bears after they refused to come out for the National Anthem.

And now I can't watch two of my favorite teams, Seattle and Tennessee after they refused to come out for the National Anthem too.

Oh well, I guess I'll watch no more NFL this year.

The NFL’s game operations manual says that “all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem” and must “stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand and refrain from talking” or face discipline “such as fines, suspensions and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s).” The league regularly penalizes players for dancing in the end zone, but it allows players to violate the rules regarding the national anthem with impunity.

The NFL is also selective in the kind of speech it protects. In September 2016, the Dallas Cowboys asked for permission to wear helmet stickers in honor of police officers massacred in Dallas earlier last year. The league refused. So the NFL will not allow players to express their support for police with a tiny helmet decal but it lets them disrespect the flag while distorting the work of police officers across the country?

The players’ behavior is hurting the league. NFL viewership is at its lowest point since 1998 and ESPN reports that “national anthem protests were the top reason that NFL fans watched fewer games last season, according to a new survey released by J.D. Power.” Indeed, “Sunday Night Football” had its worst ratings of the season last weekend, as millions of Americans turned off their sets in disgust.

If the NFL won’t stop its players from disrespecting the flag, maybe Congress should take a second look at federal benefits the NFL enjoys. For example, the NFL gets a special antitrust exemption in U.S. law. Democrats in Congress have already been debating whether the league should be stripped of this exemption because of its weak response to domestic violence allegations against players. Perhaps Republicans angry over anthem protests will now be willing to join them. And this might also be a good time for some public hearings into the NFL’s efforts to interfere with concussion research at the National Institutes of Health.

    For those interested;

The specific rule pertaining to the national anthem is found on pages A62-63 of the league rulebook. It states: “The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. “During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”
