For those that got to meet Lex (my daughter) this past Saturday at boaters beach, you will enjoy this post..
Sunday we were not able to get out on the lake due to having to goto a Keith Urban concert. My wife, Lex and I left in the afternoon and started the short journey to Ft. Wayne... upon getting there, Lex was a little disappointed that we were supposedly in the nosebleed section... little did she know that we had front row tickets... So, Amy and Lex were able to get right up to the stage for Jake Owens (opener) and for Keith. Mind you, this was Lex's first concert and was overly excited... come ‘on what 12 year old little girl wouldn't be. Anyway, half way through the set, Keith asked for 3 people to come up and do solo's for him... he pick three but Lex was not one of them. The three performed and did a somewhat ok job except for the guy that was picked... he didn't know the song so he made his own lol... Keith was not satisfied... he then said he needs one more as he was looking at Lex... he walked over to her, took her hand and proceeded to take her up on the stage. She was asked her name and where she was from. Once she responded, btw, she was 100% chill... I was shocked, I thought for sure she would have been going crazy or locked up from being on the stage in front of 13,000+ people. He then asked if she could solo the song "I wanna kiss a girl" and she responded that she knew ALL the words to his ALL of his songs. He grinned then let her start. Mind you, she is 12 and is a very quick thinker. Her version, which she sang alone, was "I wanna kiss a BOY" had the coliseum roaring lol... at the end of the solo, Keith asked the crowd to judge the solo's... Lex was last and immediately had the whole stadium roaring... she won. From there, Keith took Lex to the podium (front stage) and did that song again with just her... She was in heaven!!! I thought I'd share a little bit... check these videos out!

On the way out of the stadium, we had a lot of people stopping us to talk to Lex, anywhere from grown adults, teenagers, to little girls... it’s like Lex was a superstar... and she is to us of course! Anyway, I wanted our group to know what happened last night...

Yeah, I am still geeked about it. Here I thought I wasn't going to have any fun but it turned out to be a pretty decent concert!
