Martin sent out the racers packet today and it looks very impressive. Aprox $40,000 in purse money. If anyone is interested call Martin for your copy. Maybe someone could post it on here. I dont know how. Call Martin before you do please.

George the letter you got was about Detroit. The packet Randy is talking about is for Madison, Indiana which is a P1 race NOT OSS.

Just got back from a OPA race and saw some deleted post. Not sure what was said. George the race is a P1 race with the teams that race his style boats in the P1 rule book. Yes there is aprox $40,000 in purse money to be paid out at the event. Not sure what you mean about horse feed and running off the horses. Its the same deal he told us all over a year ago. Martin now has it together and can start his P1-USA series. Be a part of it or dont. No one is run off and the race will happen like he said it will. If you want to race call him. If not please dont bash his program, just dont respond. The sport is looking for positive people.

    its not 40,000

its 20,000 for SVS and Evolution class
    and 20,000 for the Superstocks

and .....the way i read it, thats not engraved in stone. The word "potential" leads me to that assumption

Agreed. And after talking with Martin the $40,000 purse is just for the first race. With more comitted race teams the purse will rise even higher. So what comes first? The purse or the racers?
Correct me if Im wrong. has any Org offered so much with such little commitment? What will it take to make believers out of some of you? Has Martin EVER not delivered on what he has said he will do? Has any manufacture lately built a new race hull with a plan? Does any Org have a plan on a true world wide/ USA regional scale to put on a true world event?
The money is there, the sites are there, the rules are there, the TV is there, the sponsores are there, the potential of making history is there. The question is do you want to be there as a racer? We have the golden oppertunity to make it right.
There is nothing wrong with club racing. I have been doing it for years, I WANT MORE FOR ALL OF US !!!!!!

CCRACING, I dont know you but you seem to have the pulse on SVL racing. Whats your idea of fair SVL racing?
    Spec motors?
    Spec ECM's?
    Payed at the race site?
    TV?
Where and what is your ideal place to race? What are the pro's of where you think the class should race. Im not trying to be funny, just want to here your version of good racing.
I race OPA,SBI,OSS and P1 so I have a little bit of knolage as to what each brings to the plate. Listening to people that have never raced in other org's and bash them is something I find interesting. There is so much bad info out there that some get swayed into believing everything they here. I hope you are more open minded than that.

Is the Detroit race still a go, I heard there was an issue with the sponsor? That is a great race it would suck if that was true.

So is Madison an exhibition, or a real race? I got money riding on the pass for the win in the tech lane.

I believe about twenty teams just dragged their boats and equipment across the country to Florida for $0. Actually negative $0 taking into account the expenses. Why? Loyalty to their ORG and they did it to RACE!

There are several SVL's out there and most owners are all over these threads.

So I ask, who's racing this year and where. Who is not racing this year and why not?

Randy, the answer to your question regarding manufactures building boats with a plan. Every other day I'm on the phone with another builder discussing progress with our projects. Among other things unfortunately , we're discussing P-4 and not SVL. I'm not 100% sure of his reasons but I have a house full of kids. I leave the house to go racing to get away from the squabbling.

I find it hard to believe that 10-12 grown men with spec class raceboats cannot stop beating on thier chests long enough to discuss and agree on how, when and where they will all race together.
