I know you are building a boat now. What do you see about the 28SS that you like and don't like?
I'd rather be on the boat with a drink on the rocks, than in the drink with my boat on the rocks.

05-25-2011 08:41 PMThey look to be built well and rigged clean. I think the boat/engine combo falls a little short to be considered a race boat though. It will probably take a whole bunch of these running at a racesite to garner up much spectator interest as the speeds will be pretty slow, mid 60's?. In the UK this might not be the case as normally the conditions they run in wouldn't allow for any speeds greater than that. Quite often its a boat race/ airshow
Personally, I belive the boat, at 28 feet, should have been designed to run twins with the jack plates eliminated and engines bolted to the transom making it a low 80MPH boat.
Last I heard, price on the Panther was 98K.
