Chicago sets new record high today

    May 10, 2011 4:59 PM| No Comments

The official thermometer at O'Hare Field topped out at 90 degrees late this afternoon, breaking the old record for this date of 89 degrees set in 1896.

Other high temperatures from across the area include:

    92F Elgin

    91F Chicago- Midway

    91F Joliet

    76F Chicago- Loop

    74F Lincoln Park

    68F Highland Park

Areas along the lakefront were up to 25 degrees cooler due to a lake breeze that strengthened as the afternoon progressed.

In addition, the 4PM temperature this afternoon in Chicago was warmer than many notable tropical and warm weather locations.

    90F Chicago

    88F Miami

    84F Cancun, Mexico

    84F Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

    71F Phoenix

    67F Las Vegas

I got out today. It was 95 on my gauge in the Jeep on my way to the trailhead. Got out for a really nice 3 hours on the singlespeed mountain bike...FINALLY the trails are dry.

Don't get used to it...highs in the 60s and rain for the weekend.

I got out as well... From my office, to the car, then to my house. Having surgery in the AM to remove (2) kidney stones, 5mm & 8mm so I can be "normal" again...

    Hey Mikey.... Rip cord!

Boat is still sitting ready for more testing... Oh, and o2 sensor bung plugs. Apparently when you send tail pipes in to CMI to have bungs welded in, no plugs come with them. Seems strange since everyone else that quoted it including CMI stated they were part of the package. BTW, this was two weeks ago... Still waiting for plugs to arrive... I am thinking I will just goto advance auto parts and order some.... At this rate, I'll have then from there before I get them from CMi.

Summit and Jegs both have some decent stainless O2 plugs pretty cheap and likely quicker than CMI.
