Our 14 year old son, said "Dad let's go boating". Since he normally responds "no thanks"
when I ask him to come boating, it took advantage of the situation, and got ready for an
fternoon of boating, with my boy.

We went about 50 miles round trip, out the Myakka River, South down Charlotte Harbor,
West, to Boca Grande Pass, and then to a quite spot on Cayo Costa island.

How do you protect your camera from the saltwater? I see you swam to shore with it..

Camera, Lens, Filter, Shade, Memory card, about $2,500
I got this setup, just before Christmas.

I try to be carefull, but last season, I did fall, and almost dropped my previous camera (Nikon 8mb),
catching myself and it, a few inches from the water.

Often times, the best pics, are those while walking through the water. Like this one of my Skater 308
taken last summer with my Nikon
