    I have been running a 1988 Stinger 312 w/ HP500 clones for a few years.....

Recently bought a 1988 Stinger 415, though so the 312 is gonna be for sale soon.

    Thanks for the nice welcome!

The 415 has 420HP 454's in it with velvet drives and TRS's. Originally I was gonna swap engines between the two boats, but now I think I'm just going to put 8-71's on the 454.s and call it good. the 56 mph top speed it has is just a little slow IMHO.

The 312 runs awesome with those 502's and bravo's. It would have been a shame to put weak 454's in it.

Thanks, yes I like both of the boats a lot.

It's going to hurt selling the 312. Over the last few years I redid everything, from the drives, loads of engine work, hydraulics, all wiring, and even completely rebuilt the trailer with new axles, bunks, etc......

This spring I was going to get the interior freshened up, but I couldn't pass up the deal on the 415.

I love that shot of the two together with the matching paint......

    My '82 Stinger

Heres a pic of my '82 Stinger I'm rehabing. Took out the twin 350's and dropped in a single 502 with a Bravo 1. Also sits on an aluminum trailer now.

Welcome. How'd that do on the performance with the single big vs two small's?

And what size is it? A 31?

Thanks for the welcome. I'm sure the boat is a little lighter but I haven't put it back in the water yet. I just posted a thread on the refurb. Check it out.

Here is another of the big and little boat. The 260 is grey and black and yes it doesn't match exactly but it is the same family of boats.
The little boat is a Fantasy 13 and I built and painted it as a joke, however we have so much fun with it out in the bay, that it's now a serious contendor for rides! Everyone wants to take a turn! I burn more gas in it on a good Sunday, then the big one! hahahahaha!
