I don't buy an improved economy theory. Its a commodity priced in U.S dollars, that is going down! The more the fed continues to run the printing presses and killing the dollar. The Canadian dollar is just above the American. If we sell oil in U.S dollars, when we convert it we'll loose money unless we charge more. $91 U.S per barrel converts to $90 CDN. That dollar or so raise is to make up for taking the U.S dollar for oil! Alberta sends 1.4 million barrels of oil per day to the U.S! An extra dollar and change is a lot when its a million or so barrels...................... The recent increase really just puts the U.S dollar on par with us at least.

You are very kind. Many would have considered it a very impertinent question and ignored it or worse.

Weather, well interesting to say the least. Over the next week we r expecting weather a lot like that experienced in say, Kuala Lumpur. Very warm and humid but in saying that we had a lot of unexpected rainfall in December and ended up being a very wet month.

Queensland and some parts of New South Wales are experiencing some of their worst, if not their worst flooding ever.

As far as boating is concerned, some of Victoria's most popular rivers i.e. the Murray on the border of Victoria and New South Wales is closed to boaters because water levels have peaked to high.

Go figure when we had drought like conditions not even 12 months ago.

Any chance we can pack up and move there??

Thanks for all the welcomes from the forum members. Much appreciated.

It is always good to be cautious when comparing fuel prices around the world because taxes make up a significant portion of the discrepency. And our "geniuses" in charge mandate seasonal gas formulations, which of course vary widely across the country, just to add to the mess. And cost.

    Oh, and Hi!
