Is anybody using the Edelbrock Rpm 60559 Aluminum heads on their engine? Any pros-cons to be aware of?

Square port, 118CC chambers, 315 cc Runners

I have a good set of steel 781's that work just fine, and are paid for, but while I had them off I thoughtit may be nice to take some weight out of the package. I have located a set of extremely low hour 60559's. I can get the pair for $1300. They sell new at $960 each from Summit.

Thanks for any insight to keep me from making a bad decision.

Great heads, I have used them on several engines, Big ProCharged 502's made 933 hp, also have them on another set of procharged 502's and a roots blown 454 cu in twins. THey don't flow a whole lot more than a stock head but are light of course and good if you need the heat dissipation for supercharged application. They come with Inconel exhaust valves in them from the factory. Sounds like a decent deal if they are in good shape.

Do they offer their hard coat anodizing on these?
That always seemed like a worthwhile option on any marine motor, salt or not...
I know they offer it on atleast one of their heads, just wondering if available on all or any others??

These are the numbers of the marine heads that are hard coat anodized.

Been running them for 6 seasons ... engines made 616 hp 489 cubic inch . Installed blowers and intercoolers on same and made 785 hp @ 4.5 lbs boost.

My heads were 290 cc oval ports with 110 cc chambers. I port matched them to fit the rectangular blower intakes.
    Good heads for the price.
