One of the interesting things I noticed in Terri's pictures were the different cornering techniques by different boats and teams.

Here is one of my favorite sequences. Boomer got spanked by Rick and Gary this time. The amount of distance picked up was incredible. Too bad both boats broke before the end, it was a heck of a battle up until then. You can also see how close Akula was in 3rd.

    Nice pics again....
The one thing in the turns its a cat and mouse game...
But being in front lets you run the race like you want...and the ones behind you have to fined there weakness or the boats weakness and go after it..
Thats the fun part...you can make up a lot of ground or loose alot in just one turn...to me its the best part of racing...
I like the deck to deck racing and that can get hairy at times in the straights..but taking chances pushing the boat in a turn to make up ground....that's pucker factor time....

That was a nice corner in you sequence. Outside in when the hole was left open.

It will be interesting to see some of the video I shot when Pete gets some time to edit it and get it on here.

I forgot in these little boats how quickly they will brake loose in a corning in wakes at wide open....it makes the driving more fun....But Jim said something about he could not find in the racers manual that helmets should be hitting each other durning a race...I think he must still be reading the Cat racers manual...and not the Vee.....

They seem to be able to cut it real close (sharp turn) to the bouy/marker.

i noticed some different turns strategies too...looks like you were at turns 3 and 4...we were down in 1 and 2, some boats cut the #1 corner close and were a little wider on #2 but the cats seemed to hug the beach and turn wide on 1 and cut 2 close.

Yep, we were at 3/4. The Friday race we shot from the end of the pier in front of the Westin.
