If I remember right, last time I looked at that fountain, someone had neglected to put a rub rail on it..........

I bet Steve gets a chance to test rub rails today. I'm guessing before the the first turn. Hope for some good racing, and ramming today.

Conditions are definitely a lot rougher than Wednesday. Whitecaps and the wind is coming down the chute from the north.

Bobcat had to be out there at 5:30 to set buoys etc. He'll be a patrol boat on the far turn I think. Either turn 2 or 3, guess we'll find out later.

My guess is it will pick up with a lighter fuel load, but is the top end increase really enough to overcome the total lack of acceleration in race conditions? Hard to believe but I guess it must since so many are running that combination.
Our boats run 110 with the 31 1:36 gear. With the 1.50 we see 100. In most conditions we race in the top end is more valueable than the acceleration since we are normally hitting the rev limiter at 2/3rds down the straight away even with the 1:36. So unless it is Ocean City water, we nearly always run a 1:36 with either the 31 or 30 6 blade Herring labbed by BBlades

Just get over all that and realize we just old guys out to have a good time. Bring the new SV to Michigan next year.

Seems like the video has a 5 minute delay behind the voice on the radio.

What happened? I had to take a phone call. Last I heard, Doc had the immediate lead.

Looks like SBI throws the green as soon as the pace boat starts to move. Randy got a horrible start. What was the finishing order?
