    Was going through some pics I took several years ago and thought someone might be interested in some of Al's other toys. This is only a small sample of the cars, trucks, and motorcycles in his collection. The ironic pic is of the mural on his 18 wheeler. He was showing us his creation years before it's unveiling last year.

    I can remember as a kid in the early '80's going down to KW for the worlds and just about everywhere I went I saw something with the Popeye's logo on it. It started as soon as I would get off the plane and there would be Al's private jet. Then there was the helicopter, boats, motorcycle's, jet ski's....as a kid I just looked on in awe of all of this. Here I am 25 years later and I am probably more in awe then I was a kid!

    Anyone have any pic of the stuff from back in the 80's? That would sure take me back.

    I love that 46' Cougar with Eickert motors that had the original style PSI blowers and throttle bodies. Definately a cool piece!

    anyone have any word or update on the speed record project? seems like a lot of fanfare at the unvieling and a few test but lately its been very quiet? im sure there are some bugs and teething issues anyone got any updates? it has to accellerate like a funny car with that power

    Great shots...been watching some of the old stuff recently and Copeland is always a presence...what made him stop racing? Had heard it was insurance issues but always wondered

    is the storage place still on the north side of causeway and I-10??? went by there friday afternoon and didn't think to look to see if it was still there! he had a lot of cars, boats, bikes, etc.

    al told me on his big yacht in key west that he had to stop racing because of a bad back injury from a snowmobile crash
