Watch the toons at the Shootout this year. I bet it will be the first official over 100 toon record.

I will say this…he debuted the boat this past weekend at my annual island party and it went over really well with the crowd. He is pretty sure he sold two people on them already. People were really amazed at how room that thing has.

And no Tom, I was running circles around the pontoon this weekend!! But I did get to take a look at Pete's engine this weekend....in pieces

Well I am glad to hear you are all set back on the water! Did he get enough hours on it for the break in period?

I don't think he put much time on it at all. Maybe this weekend, but then again maybe not with that Hurricane coming out way.

I have engine parts all over the state right now!

Got my first ride on it tonight. Actually I drove for 1/2 the time. More responsive and better going across wakes than I thought. Only hit 34 MPH on the top end, but people were sitting in the front. I think its a high 30's boat...maybe 40.

What's max. RPM for the 200 opti?
I'm getting ready to start testing props on my 'toon as well, but it's got a 250 verado on it. I'm looking to crack 50, but I don't think it will get it.

Not sure, but I would imagine it is around 5000-5200.

Just checked the Mercury website and it says max RPM is 5000-5750, which seems like a pretty big range to me. I am also not sure if I was looking at the right engine. I was looking at the 200 Optimax 3.0L, which I believe is the engine on this thing.
