I heard Stan and Lisa M went over in a turn in the race today....
they said they were taking Lisa to the Hospital...and the boat was being towed in with the sponsons only sticking up...

Anyone heard any news on Stans and Lisa's condition....

Hope everyone is OK!!! I met Stan in the pits in St. Pete a few years ago, really nice guy, treated my wife and I like he'd known us for years. Introduced us to his whole family and was feeding us chicken for breakfast.
    Prayers to them.

I just heard that Stan is alright and they were taking Lisa to be checked out.
Boat is still in the water, tow boat went to get it but was stopped. I guess it's right on the state line and there are issues with DNR.

The boats behind said it went over more than once. It was about 1/3 of the way down the back stretch. A loing shot, but I'll see what I have.

We were plenty worried when they said divers had to get Lisa out of the boat and did possible CPR. Then the rescue boat came in full blast with her in the back surrounded by medics.

Later we were told she'd be okay, but it was a really violent tumble the boat took.

I'll get some pics up soon as I see what I have.

It was still out there when we left. First hooked up and being towed, then not, then towed, then not...........

Stan and Lisa doing well after accident
    #15
Stan and Lisa are both doing well. Stan was released from the Michigan City hospital yesterday. Lisa was airlifted to a top notch trauma center which released her today. She'll be on her way home to Sarasota tomorrow.
Thanks to all the SBI med/safety personnel who responded immediately.

Thanks to all the outpourings of prayers and good wishes from the offshore community and the fans.

Glad they are both ok. Sounds like a brutal crash. How did the hull make out? Sounds like the canopy held up to the impact.
