I am looking for a Baja 29 Outlaw with a single engine in it. Does anybody know where I can find one of these. I have found a couple on the internet but I havn't run into a lot of them. I hear they ride excellent. They say they are slow but they ride good. Let me know if you know of any that are for sale.

    Thanks

Any reason that you are Baja specific??

There are a lot of boats in that size range/single engine that you may also want to look into.
What kind of boating do you do, and how do you want to use the boat?
In that size/single config, I might also look at Saber/Pantera/AT/Fountain/Donzi/wellcraft-scarab
If you were interested in really cool "old school", I'd say a 27' Magnum with twin small blocks - but maybe that's just because I want one of those myself

I have a 28' Powerquest Silencer w/single 502. It's an all around great boat. Check one out and see for yourself.

From what I have read the 29' is a pig with a single. I would consider one with twins or look at another brand. Not bashing Baja, but there are alot of great boats that come to
mind. 28' AT, 288 Sunny are the too I would be looking at.

Ive spent a fair amount of time in a 29 w/twins. I've also had a hadfull of rides in a 29 single, the single is a total pig. Handleing and balance are way off compared to the twin version. That hull was designed for twins. Unless you're absolutly in love with the boat , I'd look for twin setup or a completely different single.

I have no experience my self but there are some that feel the lighter weight of the 29 single will not beat you to death as much in the washing machine slop that is LOTO. The guys making this claim have owned both boats so I have no reason to doubt them.

Tim, I hope you find what you are looking for. As those here have stated, there are other boats that will fit your needs.

    Good luck

Mine rides pretty good with twins. Not sure how much better a single could be?

I owned a Outlaw 29 with twins and also ran a 29 sinlge....
Its a good ruff water boat but you are going to need big power with a single...even with a 525...it will be slow...and you will get tire of the slow speeds....

They are popular at LOTO. Check out the dealers there.

The 29ol was just a flat transom take-off of the Baja 302. The 302 started with dimensions off a 28 Apache, but there are too many major changes to call it the same bottom design.

And isn't the 28 Apache a take off of the 28 Manta?
