    Artie,

I put it in Gel, just for some extra water resistance(and to give me something to sand out some small imperfections) The rest of the boat is painted, so unless I stripped the whole boat, I had to use the same paint in order to match. The Paint I used is Interlux Epoxy Prime Kote for the primer, and Interlux Perfection Snow White for topcoat, this is the way the rest of the boat was done 4 years ago and it held up well. One step to being done with the hull work, then I have to rig it back up

    Rick

    Thanks,

I don't know about fast, it has been since January The pictures don't tell the whole story, I am not totally satisfied, up close you can see a few small areas of imperfection, but heck the boat is 30 years old. The whole boat is going to get stripped and repainted agin in a year or so(kinda getting sick of the purple), but dyeing to get back on the water, so it will do for now.

Mine is the same way, from 5 or 10 feet back it looks perfect. But if you get right up on it you can always find inperfections. When the boats were brand new they were not perfect. I am going to do a little touch up on mine this winter. I do not work on them in the summer unless I have to. Summer is for letting them run. Hope you get yours running soon.

Looks good from my house. Try not to let it bother you. Finish the rigging and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Be proud of your hard efforts and remember you could have paid someone and gotten much less. Looks great!

I'll take hurricanes every 5 years or so over Snow, and Tornadoes I grew up in the Northeast, and I gotta say, Hurricanes are BAD, but they are few and far between, snow up north is inevitable. No New pics from this weekend, but I DID finish the paint repairs in other areas, just waiting on motor mounting hardware(Backing plates etc), then it is time to start the rigging
