How does one tell the diff between a flatty and a gun of mid 80's vintage? What should I be looking for? Owner says its a topgun but Im not so sure.

    Thanks!

    38 Topgun / 38 Flat Deck:
I guess the best way to see the differance is in the topdeck... A flatdeck is flat with a an aluminum fairing. The Gun has it all molded in..........

Nice pic of Fox Hunter, a prefect example of an awesome Flat deck!

Like Jr. said, the deck tells it all.

The hatches & faring are the most obvious details. The Top Gun looks much smoother having everything flush mounted, & the faring being less abrupt of an angle when it joins at the deck.
