On the way there my new bearing buddies from Harbor Freight flew off, grease all over the wheels, that`ll teach me to buy cheap junk.
Spent an hour looking for replacement not wanting to submerge the bearings without anything to cover em. the replacements din`t fit so ended up backing it in without anything on the bearing anyway.. wtf.
On the way back tire blew out sent the tread like 10' in the air... jack for truck too short to lift trailer, good thing another boater stopped by and had a big block of wood on the truck.. saved my ass.
The spare was shot too, made it to my P`s house left the boat there .. got a tire on Monday..

    Boat ran great thou

I hate bearing buddies. Greaseable axles are the way to go. This way the rear bearing gets good grease

Michelin 10 plys on mine. I think the key with tires is how old they are, brand, and most important, inflated to the max carrying capacity on the sidewall. A tire rated for 80psi can "look" fine with 30psi in it. But its weight capacity is greatly reduced! Take it from a trucker. I have greneaded my share of tires on the 18 wheel dump truck. Heavy loads and low tire pressure means kaboom! They heat up fast, and when one blows on the semi, it sounds like a shotgun! I think I wet myself the first time I popped one

I have those I don`t why I was putting on cheap bearing buddies..

I replaced the on tire with Goodyear marathon.. then realized my buddy works at a tire shop he hooked me up with a Denman. The Marathons is made in China Denman is at least closer in Mexico.
Do we make anything here anymore? wtf

The boats that I have bought have always had Carlisles on them at the time of purchase and I have had pretty good luck with them. I know the Goodyear Marathons were the tire for a few years but I am have even heard negative things about them lately. If you were buying new now what would you guys buy?
