    What motor is this?
    #1
    Ford, Chevy, Olds, Mopar?

I have been told it is a 460 Ford, I think that is wrong because the distributor is on the end with the transmission and Fords are on the belt side.

I don't think is is an olds because the heads on a 455 have the center two exhausts on each side exit close together in the picture I have seen.

I don't think the distributor is right for a mopar.

I figured I would ask the experts here on the board.

    Thanks,
    Ernie

My wife and I wanted a family friendly boat, and I wanted a project, so I have been looking for a classic ski boat and found this Century Arabian like the one my dad had when I was little. Needs paint, floorboard, interior, and a rebuild, but it will be a fun project for my dad and I.

    Should be a fun build,

Another engine question: What generation is this engine? And where do I look it up, or how can you tell?

Can you read the serial number on the bell housing? It looks to me like the trannie is merc stuff too. The engine appears to have been changed. I don't recognize anything on it as Merc. I do agree it looks like a BBC
