Yeah, a lot of people have tried to track down the molds but noone has come up with them, basically its a 24x7 bottom with good bit of rocker and a tall deck, the only 24x7 with a tall deck giving it a somewhat useable cabin.

Did you raise the x dimension/propshaft height?

Yes, I raised it by 3 inches. I have no clue what effect this might have on the handling of the boat but I figured if I find out that I had raised it to much I could buy spacers.

What height did you have on your Scorpion? Was it raised?

You've got the right idea w/ the spacers. Frank's Marine Scorpion had an X dimension of 18 or 18 1/2. He had a 1' spacer in his drive which means hole was cut at 19 or 19 1/2".

    A small update

Started to install some green ledlights, dont know what this might look like once the engine is installed but I figure I should do it before I installed the engine.
There will be atleast 7 or 8 ledlights installed.
Sorry for the poor quality of the picture but you´ll get the idea.

Man this thing looks good so far. Makes me want to tear my 24-7 apart and start over.

I also made some changes to the engine hatch, made it about 40cm longer since I decided to go with standup bolsters in the back.
I also added some support to the hatch by the woodpieces you see in picture #2. More pictures of this will follow. In the last picture I have started to paint the hatch white.

I made a new hatch and door to the cabin.
Added some more green lights to the sidepanels.
And a picture of the gauges and switches.

Painted the enginecover white came out fairly good I think.
Didnt like it black so I had to do something crazy. My friends think it now looks like a diesel engine.

And finally, a picture taken today.

Im getting ready to fire the engine in a day or two, the only thing missing is 8SS clamps to the starboard exhaust pipe.
I buffed the the exhaust and polished it, looks really good I think.

Now its time to sleep, got to get up early tomorrow and continue working on the boat.
