I need a traceable template that would look like the top of a 38 TG. It can be no longer than 6'. All I'll say is that it will be used a kind of "table top". Can anyone with a giant printer or some type of cad cam machine do this? It would be great to be proportionately correct, but I'll deal with a good drawing if that's what I can get.
OR........
Maybe a large (performance style) prop. like 6' in diameter

I'm pretty sure Jay can do 17" wide by any length on his in house printer, but then again we were drinking beer, and looking at the girls of E Dock poster so I wasn't listening really close...

03-30-2010 12:21 AMAt 30" wide, keeping the proportions consistent, the table will be 15 feet long.
How about a big Cigarette logo? Have one of the vinyl graphics people do it in a 4-color print. Then you can stick it on a piece of melamine-faced plywood and do a heat-adhered edgebond on it.

A friend of mine had this pink floyd flag/banner thing and epoxied it onto the floor of his iceboat, the material disappeared and it really looks like some kind of antique painting, really a great effect. I will try and get a pik fom him.

15 feet is a nice size for flip cup, you can fit 7-8 people on each side. You just need to make it and leave it somewhere, definitely not an easy one to transport. This one is about 10 feet and it works pretty well (it travels to hhh sponsored events)!

03-30-2010 03:12 PMThanks guys. Dave I'll call you.
It doesn't have to move. It will be at the beach house all summer. I'm trying to incorporate the cig logo. Thats why I was thinking the top view of the boat would be cool and I could put the logo on the hatch like normal. 15' is too long though. 8' is nice for pong. 15' is ok for flip cup

Kind of a neat image i have been playing with. I converted the "Don" pic to a bitmap then did a high res monochromatic vector image in black. Could be cool somewhere, maybe ghosted on a hatch or something. I still need to clean it up a bit but it has some promise :
