Can't tell you guys how much I love having Bobthebuilder as a friend.

He invited me to join him aboard Team Predator yesterday for the FPC run down to Everglades City. I didn't have to think about that one very long...

It was a beautiful day for a boatride and I took a few pix.

Sorry you couldn't make it, Gino. I was hoping to get some water-level running shots of the boat. Final count was about 16 boats.

    Don't forget your sunblock.

Finally got a chance to get some shots of Gold Rush.
Pix don't do that boat justice.

    ps- Happy Birthday, Gino!

This was one of the best runs in a long time. Outside of finally having great Florida weather the event was awesome.
Started out at Sanibel harbor resort and headed south down the coast to Naples, Hamilton Harbor for a card stop.
Then down to the tip of Marco Island and made our way to storied Everglades City.
We had a scenic run winding run through the 10,000 Islands and up into the town. The lunch stop was at a beautiful new marina and upscale RV resort. After lunch we were able to do group runs on airboats for another adventure through the mangrove islands and grass flats.
If you've never had a ride on airboat, they are pretty fun.
The run back took us through the back side of Marco Island and through the Marco river.

For the past few years I've been begging organizers to change up the formats and do something different.
Stu and Jackie came through on this one. The shame was the lack of more boats but the group we had was a great mix.
Thanks to the folks at FPC for a terrific event.

Jay. I was a pleasure to have you aboard once again. Whether it's a run to Cancun or a ride down the coast, there will always be a seat on Team PREDATOR for you. The only downside is when your on my boat taking pictures.......you can't take any of us ..... just everyone else !! LOL ( it's OK, I have lots just the same ) We will do it again soon, and thanks for what you do so well.
    Bob

I'm leaving Wed. nite for the Cape Coral Run this coming weekend. I hope the turnout is better but it looks like great weather and a good time. Are most of the participants running next weekend as well? Looking forward to getting back on the water after a long winter.
