It's funny the difference between public perception and people's experience when there are no cameras. I give your account more credibility than what's on TV.
In my last business (entertainment) I met a lot of famous people for a few hours one night.

Steve Smith from Journey (drummer) what an azzhole. Acted like he was God. So I maybe sort of recorded the show on DAT. Not Journey. (Hopefully Hans H. is not reading this)

Slash was a funny, normal guy. And that was in the 90s.

Dennis Chambers, when he was playing with Steely Dan, awesome.

    Mr. T loved my Mom.

Maybe Haim wasn't the D-bag that he seemed.
Haim was only there once. He might have been a D-bag having a good day. Feldman on the other hand was there often and was ALWAYS a pr!ck. HE was just one of those guys you just want to pick up and shake the phuck out of him.

My take betweenthe two from what I have seen over the years.. Feldman had the "Im all that and a bucket of chicken, so cool" syndrome and Haim was just a good time lovin party animal.

Now that you started a list:

Tori Amos was very cool and laid back, but a little wacky

    Sebastian Bach, very cool guy.

Lita Ford, total skank. Meeting her in the early 90's she pretty much ruined the sexual fantasy I'd had for her all through my HS years.

I imagine the same could be said for Axl Rose...
Hell, I think he expects you to pretend he isn't even there.

In Jupiter we have had an influx of celebrities and working in the trades the stories all come out.
Jack Nickolaus- not bad, not great but his sons have bigger egos than Jack does
    Celine Dion- BEOTCH
Tiger- CHEAPSKATE KNOW IT ALL. If you bid on a job for him, he will tell you what you can charge
Lou Dobbs- nice guy, heavy on the smoking and double dose of ego
Michael Jordan- building a 28K sq ft house- house is at block/roof stages now, no news yet.
    Greg Norman- grumpy at best
Retired hockey, tennis, baseball etc- essentially 3-7 years of good playing/paydays and 10-20 years later they still expect to be recognized/worshipped despite being a relic.
