From what I have heard its one of the best runs to do. I don't know anybody who does it from the City. Get ahold of Boat Freak he does the run and says its a blast! Like you
said its a long drive.

I towed my 37AT up to Chicago a few years ago. It's not a bad drive at all. It can be done in a day.

03-01-2010 10:17 PMHow far is your drive? I'm less than 2 hours away, but would drive 10 ,12. Its a great run especially if your in the AT family.
I towed to Jacksonville last year 13 hours, but had more fun at JOTJ. Just my 2 cents.

So its a poker run? I thought those were for bigger boats, my 25` gets knocked around quite a bit and Im still learning how to drive it.
Usually I dread the 6hr. drive to the UP, 14hrs in car would give me nightmares
When is it anyway, I`ve been sitting on my ass for the last 5 weeks with this torn ACL/MCL/bone contusion.. surgery is in 2 weeks then another 3 months before I`m good to go.. I`ll be living in the boat by then with not being able to work all this time.
Being self employed really sucks sometimes..
Edit, I found out when it is.. and they split up the boats , big boys go first.. it sounds like a blast. I`ll have to see how the next couple months goLast edited by ICDEDPPL; 03-02-2010 at 10:53 AM.

This is a great run. We have made the haul there two years in a row and it is a haul. It's not t.hat big of a deal if you can make a big weekend out of it. I wouldn't worry about having a 25 as like they said it is a river and you won't have to worry about rough water.
