I have a new Donzi ZXO. since the boat was new when I turn Silent Choice on the volts take a pretty large dive. The engines if at idle will even take a momentary hit in RPM until they correct themselves. I see a consistent .5-1 volt drop when Silent choice is engaged. I have tried it with the battery switches in various spots and it's always the same outcome.

Is this normal? it seems like quite a power draw to me.

The Corsa diverters have a rather heavy draw to open the butterfly. Once they are open the voltage drops considerably to maintain them open. It is the way they were designed.

CMI offers an electric diverter that draws NO amps while in a closed or open position, just 4 amps to make the switch.
