I just took advantage of the sale at cpperformance for the platnum gauge set. I got the tach from livorsi and it has a sticker on the side indicating switch placment between 4 6 and 8 cylinder engines. Where is this switch? Is it just plug and play or is does this not apply to my application? Just wondering if i need to take it apart and set these switches to the appropriate position... If there is even switches contained in the unit.

If you don't see the switch on the back of the tach, then its probably just preset for 8 cyl.

I think when I installed mine it was behind a rubber plug in the back. pull the plug out and it exposes the circuit board with the dip switch on it. I wouldn't install without checking it first.
