Started 02-01-2010 Yes its a L O N G drawn out thread no doubt, not sure about a wanna-be-racer comment ? Last winter was spent working on the cat and this v-bottom. This boat started off a nicely painted boat less motor. We stripped it down, replaced the floor, replaced some bulk heads, raised the X, replaced a couple stringers and re-rigged.. The cat is fun, like I said no hurry to finish and I do take on a few to many projects.
Ha Ha Ha , its all good considering i am just busting your balls , and when you get ready to drop her in the water we all will be very interested and rooting for you , and from the looks of things to come Tawas will not be having a race this summer which to me is somewhat disappointing because it actually was a very nice event .

It's moving right along - wiring, than re-wiring, changing wiring and than doing it again was a PITA.. Now just lots of custom parts like steering wheel extenders, foot rest, arm rest, padded cock pit walls.. fabricating the hatch latch now.

Do you have a test target date? Maybe bring two boats to Biloxi?

That cockpit looks really good. WHat kind of backseat room were you able to end up with? Able to fit back there yourself?

The back seats (or back area) is very roomy, you could stretch out ans sleep .. I have the seats but have not installed them. I'm looking into making a system that has a quick release seat up for removing them when not needed or wanted.

Finished up the last of the wiring last night and looking to test when I have time and the lakes clear from Ice chunks, docks, trees and other crap floating down stream.

There was an offshore boat in Lake Macatawa yesterday throwing a big roost and sounding like Ilmor's according to the calls I got. They said there were huge icebergs still out there to dodge.....

Every once in a while I have time to be able really work some long hours and make some serious progress.

Front windows cut, drilled, sealed and mounted. I used some carbon fiber looking vehicle wrap material around the edge for cosmetic reasons.

    * I never cut materiel this thick and i managed to "f" the driver side up so I now have a 1" gap right down the middle wear the two piece come together.
I'll try and get a nice sheet of 1/4" aluminum and bend a nice cover plate this weekend.

Side windows went in fairly easy - just need to clean up some trim work.

    Now it's "wrap time" -

    Matte Red with metal flake
    Matte Black with metal flake
Matte Black _ (just murder it out)
    Chrome red

cheetah PRINT THE WHOLE DAMM BOAT...

The rear engine room hatches, front bow hatch and 2 canopy hatches would be wrapped in matte carbon fiber on each design..
