Are you wanting something easily adjustable that you will be adjusting often or just something to get the drop you need? What about something like this with a pintle/ball combo?

I would never consider it. Draw bars are cheap. Get a selection. I sure wouldn't trust the hardware or connections regardless of what they rated it.

I did see that one. Thanks. Was trying to find one that was easily adjusted or at least had more adjustment. That only has two positions with a 4-hole pintle mount hitch. Not sure what height I'll need with the new rig.

I have seen other HD adjustable mounts just can't find them now. Good ones do exist.

    Here ya go.

My buddy has one he got from here (about half way down the page) and it is rated it to 16k. It is a pintle/ball combo deal. It seems very well built, and he pulls a backhoe with it nearly every day.

With every new boat, I buy a few hitches and try them out. Keep them clean and (most) stores will take them back within a certain time frame. Keep the one that works, return the ones that don't. Unless you need/want to adjust, a single unit eliminates a few potential points of failure as well.

I'd bet someone on here will be able to give you a good starting point as well.

Not that I'm looking but, the pintle is rated to 16K but as a ball mount its 10K 1k tongue. dont know why but its still only rated to 10k for ball mount. I wouldn't use it.
