Its an interesting thought. Im a bit longer than most 27' s<28.8> sO I can play in the 28 league.

To put the 2750 in the mix brings in the "other coast". Sounds like a nasty fight to get into!

I had heard of a 2750 sighting out in the east but nothing confirmed.....

I usually do the "glamis thing" till about March.
I think I get one free insurance layup release though.

Ive got 2 quads and a dirt bike and can probably scrounge up another banshee.
Next trip is scheduled first week of Feb - any of you guys Game?

Im anxious to see what the Pantera offshore experience is all about.
These rigs (and to fair the AT's do as well) have a good rep.

Ive spent some time looking at the AT, and the Pantera and the Lavey is actually an interesting choice to compare against.

Lots of subjective, and objective things to look at.
Heres the data posted (cut and paste) right from each manufacturers site.

I had a 28 Nordic w/500efi, Nice boat for a lake and not all that fast. Great cabin.
Actually I was a dealer for them and we couldn't give'm away.
They don't belong anywhere near inthe same class as the A.T. or Pantera.

I was looking at a 21' Nordic Cyclone last weekend with a 700 and an NXT... Wow was that thing a badass!

Not quite as deep as an AT I don't think though, but still not a "small boat".

No newer one's out there though, and not many at all actually. Just thought I'd throw it out there as when I was looking it was the 3rd Fl built boat that was comparable with Pantera/AT.

Profile wise it looks a lot like my Lavey with a bit steeper windscreen and roughly the same low profile nose maybe a bit thicker - but thinner than AT, Pantera, Advantage , and Nordic -

The Advantage is probably the best weekender of the group (downside 22degree v) , with the AT next.

This couch space on the 2750 is ok, but the v birth is quite tight on it.
Its not as spacious a weekender as the other three.

As you say about the PP- its not a small boat- its actually quite a big "27"" simply put - there is a compromise in interior space to achieve its look.

Blue boat long shot is the power play, the closer one the Lavey. (Not mine, but a 2750)

The sunny is nice as well.

Yes they have been working on it for a while as the place was busy with the large boats, Now out back there was an Old Missile sitting there and coming up as a future project. Way Cool all the old brochures and Decals they have for it from in the Day.

I think with the era of easy home equity lines well behind us many manufactuerers are dusting off their molds and getting prepped the smaller 20-30ft boats.

Not only are they easier to buy, they are usually easier on everything else as well, and at 25ft -30 do offer real offshore capability.

I think magnums showing a lot of business sense.

You are right about the Lavey being worth considering here. Probably the only West Coast boat worth mentioning in this conversation.

that was why it was such a big 27! (mixing my 7 and 8's here)

(probably a side effect of living near the "soothing sounds" of my yamaha generator last night until the DPW guys could bring power back on line)


I was digging around trying to find powerplay 28 picts. Do have the link where I found that pict? Ive looked all over trying to find it.


Does the PP 28 have a belly tank or side tanks?
