I can't seem to even find a part number for it anymore. Fel Pro used to have it, but can't find it anywhere.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

Sorry, I need to be more clear. I need a timing cover gasket for a motor that has a raised cam location... 0.400 higher above the crank than the standard. It's an old Merlin Pro block, if that helps.

Thanks Chris... That reminds me. I'm going to swing by Pfaff's on the way home today or tomorrow and see if he's got any in stock, otherwise I'll give Gellner a call.

That's what I hear. Seems like it kind of went out of favor and now Summit, Jegs, Herbert, etc. don't seem to carry the gasket.

More to clear the rods. On a big-inch aluminum-rod drag motor.

It's funny, my buddy's KB alloy tall deck motor has the cam at the stock height and he runs the big aluminum rods. It's smaller displacement though (just under 500"). I assume they just found better ways to deal with it within the stock measurements.

500 inches is tiny. When you're approaching 700, you've got serious clearance problems.

Yup, but 500" is the rules, so what ya gonna do...

Seems like Merlin doesn't even make a raised cam block anymore.

I believe Dart's raised timing cover for the Big M with +.400 is PN 67240002 so it should be easy to call up Dart and ask for the gasket!
