There just isn't any reasonable justification. You can make every single pound of torque and every horse with a Ford that you can with a Chevy.

Can you imagine the screams of horror if you dropped a 351 Cleavor into a 67' Vette?

to tell you the truth I'm a Ford guy through and through. Have had every body style of Broncos and just picked up another great 92 Eddie Bauer with 351 from the original owner, been after it for a while. For street rods though you just cant beat a sbc. It would cost twice as much to do a comparable Ford motor. Resale is the other issue, there is NO market for anything but Chev powered stuff (justifiable reasons ) Really wish it was the other way around heck if i had a wish I'd be running something really impressive like 427 SOHC'rs or Boss 9's.

With all due respect. I wholeheartedly disagree on both issues but I know I won't convince you of that here.

I was thinking maybe an 03 cobra dohc motor and harness. Get em fairly cheap from salvage cars. Just brainstorming right now though.

Those are well engineered and assembled motors using premium components. I think they are easy to supercharge to if needed for more bottom end grunt.

My bad, I was thinking of the 4V N/A motors that cobras first came with.

all you have to do is KB/ Whipple swap, long tubes, a bigger MAF, and a tune, and you have 650ish at the wheels.
