Can you give us the formula on dropping pitch for adding a blade?

Motions can perform well with Semi-cleaver Propellers. The owner of Motion recently called me a little and we discussed this. Your 36P props are not a real efficeint pitch, for Bravo I propeller series. I would think you would benefit greatly from semi-cleavers. But, before jumping in can you tell me the year of the hull and your performance data with the Bravo I props, please?

Its all going so WELL, George! Thanks for asking.

The Gold Coating on the props is a PVD coating that has titanium in it. This is what give it it's gorgeous color. PVD is short for "Particulate Vapor Deposition".

Happy Holidays to both of you George!

Yes, that is indeed the formula, if you are currently running Bravo 1 props. Bravo 1 props are one inch less than is stamped, on the propeller.

When you add a blade you will reduce one inch of pitch to compensate for the increase drag of the additional blade.

So... if you are running Bravo I props and want to add a blade you will reduce 2 inches of pitch.

If you are running propellers other than Bravo 1 prop then simply reduce one inch of pitch when adding a blade.

    Here you go:

When you add a blade you will reduce one inch of pitch to compensate for the increase drag of the additional blade.

The only exception to the rule, is if your running Bravo I props.

Its got SERIOUS Bling factor !

We are still testing the propellers to determine in a scientific manner the benefits.

But, I can tell this to date. The PVD coating makes the propellers STRONGER! So, this of course would allow us to go thinner and with the PVD we can re-gain some of this strength back. This of course means greater Durability and Life Expectancy, for the propellers. Because we all know that thin is fast.....but we also know that thin propellers have a shorter life expectancy!

The coating depends upon the propeller style. SM are an additional $1000.00 each for the PVD application.

    Thanks.
