Your boat may be better suited for class 6, 70mph up to 26'. Length is a huge factor in the ocean races. You can always step up to class 5 if neccessary or you gain more experience.

01-19-2010 11:49 PMBob is right;a 24FT Pantera is better suited for Class 6 in OPA.Class 6 is growing with a number of new teams coming out this season.Looking forward to seeing your Pantera on the race course..I have a 24FT Pantera pleasure boat28FT Pantera's are ideally suited for Class 5...and Simply Awesome,Goumada,Sonic Boom and Carabbas all had at least one win in OPA,SBI or APBA.

Keep in mind there is a 500 HP limit in Class 6.

Update: Our new beast, 41' apache, is getting lifting straps made, name and number going to be installed shortly, few cosmetic changes, and 2 new "BIG" Rogers Speed Shop motors are on the engine stands getting ready soon for assembly and dyno
